This book was soooooo close to being a full 5/5 stars. It made me cry multiple times and overall was incredible. A slight difficulty with pacing and a major difficulty with how one side character was handled are my only complaints. The monster and her human both were wonderfully written and I cannot praise enough the decision to make an epilogue that was about 1/6th of the ending of the book. Seriously what a fantastic idea.

this was cute and gross lol - I did notice some inconsistencies in the story tho which took me out of it a few times. "cozy horror" is definitely an interesting branch off the cozy genre and I don't think I am mad about it. this was also very gay, but in a cute and nonsexual way, which was really enjoyable for me. last thing, it was just a little long and I found myself bored during some of what was supposed to be the action scenes lol.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Carmen Rose, who I think preformed well.

Overall, I would recommend if anything about this seems interesting to you.

This book had a lot of potential! I like the premise and it had several scenes I really enjoyed. It had a strong idea of what it wanted to be. However, the pacing was off, and the author was inconsistent on when he provided details (ie exactly how many people in a group but not how the character managed to avoid all of them).
6/10. I’m not mad I read it! I’m not mad if it’s your favorite book! I might read something else by the author and I might even recommend it! But I went into it thinking it was going to be a horror romance and the end

was simply too tidy for that.
