I loved this one. I struggled at first listening to it because the author chose to recast the reader which he explains at the beginning but she didn't listen to the ones before so a lot of the words and names are pronounced differently.

However I don't normally cry at books even when like I feel like I would or should but this one had be feeling all the feels.

Some parts of the story knit together, some explode (literally) apart. Where do the pressure suits for the Springers come from? Why is it so easy to solder nuke canons together?

This godsdamned book.
Hated the last two pages so much I almost gave it 3 stars.

RATING: 3.85 YA stars, or 2.8 Adult stars.

REVIEW: A pretty good finale. Action, explosions, deaths, changes. Not great literature; YA readers won't care.

A QUOTE: “You always talked of gods,” I say. “Now we’re going to kill one. You sure you’re ready?”

This was my least favorite book in the series but I am glad I finished the series.

I liked that there were real stakes and that the questions actually got answered. I wasn't so happy with what happened with Em's character, but I also understand why Sigler did what he did. I just wasn't a huge fan. This wraps up the trilogy well and overall I'm satisfied with the series as a whole.

WOW!! I put off reading this last in the trilogy, to savor the series still being alive in my world - but really, with the ending provided, I think it will be with me always. I loved Alive - Alight was okay, and then...this book...wow...it made this trilogy. I can't imagine it ending any other way, and I had tears in my eyes for about the last half of the book. I loved this trilogy. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

**2nd "read"** I am listening to the podcast, which is airing the audio version read by A Kovacs.
