This series was an absolute joy to read. I never thought I would love fantasy politics as much as I have through these books. I do wish there was a tad more substance to Jude and Carden's romance, but overall the entire series was interesting and didn't leave me once wanting to put it down.

How could this be anything but a 5 ⭐️ review?? This was the perfect balance of love and lore. It wasn’t too much romance, definitely a slow burn. The main plot was also very good and really well thought out, and while it could have been confusing and political, it was written in a way so that it was not. The climax almost broke me, I cared that much. 11/10 would recommend!

I really liked this book. I usually have a problem with fantasy series where the romance gets in the way of the plot but it really doesn't the romance flows very evenly with the rest of the story which is very good. Lots of plot twists and events that move the plot all created by the characters and interwoven into the plot.
