Words cannot even explain how much the folk of the air series means to me and Jurdan in general. They are my heart and soul. It’s not even just the romance but the world feels like a dream you wish was reality. I feel as the though the people who love the folk of the air series once dreamed of finding secret worlds and dancing in the forest. Cardan and Jude are some of my favorite characters EVER. The epilogue actually felt perfect and I just love Holly Black so much. I will think of this series, characters and lore until my death. Rereading is a necessity not a want.
All hail the High King Cardan Greenbriar and his High Queen Jude Duarte. 💌🐍👑🗡️🧚🏼♂️🍇
“Mock me all you like. Whatever I imagined then, now it is I who would beg and grovel for a kind world from your lips.” His eyes are black with desire. “By you, I am forever undone.”
And yet, if I love him, there’s only one choice.
But he holds me as though I am the only solid thing in the world.
He’s so beautiful, so perfectly horrible, inhumanely beautiful that I can barely breathe
“I love you,” I confirm.
“Because I am clever and funny,” he says smiling. “You didn’t mention my handsomeness.”
“I knew little else, but I always knew you.”
“But to traitors and oath breakers, I offer my queen’s hospitality instead. The hospitality of knives.”
