The best book in the trilogy. It was funny and loving but still had a bit of a thrill that left me on the edge of my seat. I love the characters I absolutely love cardan. These 3 books were the most easy reads I have read in a long time and I'm definitely going to read more of holly blacks books.

8/10. I liked this book the best out of the trilogy. It had the most romance, Jude finally had people she could trust and lean on, and the trajectory of the plot also made sense. Additionally, I will say that there were a few times that I was genuinely surprised which does not happen very often to me. I don't wholly love the romance between Jude and Cardan but I like it well enough. This isn't a stand-out series to me and I don't know if I will read it again considering I did not like the first book very much but I like it well enough to keep the books on my shelf.

This was the perfect ending to the perfect story.

When I first start reading The Cruel Prince I was not expecting to fall in love so dearly for this story. But everything about it made me keep reading it: the world creation is amazing, the intricacy of the story line, the political wars, the love, the fear, the hate... I was seriously committed to these characters and what would happen to them.

I'm very glad it ended the way it did. Can't wait to read more books by Holly Black.
