I really like the author’s writing style. The books are pretty long but I appreciate that when it gives you more insight into the characters and story, and it’s not just fluff. Whit and summer meet at a party when they’re 14 and make out. Turns out her mom is having an affair with his dad and when that shit hits the fan he hates her even though he didn’t see her again until their senior year. Then he’s a bully, which we love. Steals her journal and won’t give it back until after he’s done using her for as much sex as we wants basically, but also saves her from being attacked by multiple men. She’s friends with his sister and then a trip home for thanksgiving has everything blowing up. The sister brought her as her guest and then turns into a witch saying she’s not going to end up with Whit because she’s trash. All
After she spent the week with Whit and he was falling in real love. Broke off his arranged engagement and everything. His mom found her journal in his stuff though and threatened her with an entry about starting a fire if she didn’t leave and never see her son again. It jumps ahead 16 months and She ran away to Paris, apparently had enough credits to graduate early, and changed her number and everything. She’s in art school. A random gay man best friend she met once helps Whit ambush her in Paris with dinner and they’re back
Together and his mom can fuck off. I liked how the timing of the end of the story was realistic. It wasn’t “they got together and got married and had babies” all in 5 pages, it was like the last 20% or so. That can ruin books for me when it’s not paced well

I read other things by this author and I liked the narrator but this kinda made me feel like these kids needed therapy and their parents were let downs. Ended in an HEA. Not sure if I’ll continue with the series because no one else in the series grabbed me.

Ugh, freaking Whit. A young Jameson Kane. My heart swoons. A spoiled brat with a filthy mouth and all the bad intentions. He's possessive and when he breaks for Summer it's tear worthy.

- girl's mom is a thot and not in a good way, hide ur husbands
- boy's mom, dad, sister, friends and even his butler all claim my girl isn't good enough for his highness (we overthrew the british for a resason)
- girl's stepbrother is a nightmare (like legit should be in jail)

I really loved this book. It was my first bully romance and the back story of Summer made me really sad. It was devastating /gut wrenching to read that she ended up just taking it to get it over with like she had no way to get away from the abuse. I loved the development of Whit and Summer and how possessive of her he is. His sister Sylvie made me really upset with how she basically cut things off with Summer and how she ended up having to run away. I loved after the almost 2 year break that Whit went to go and find her and the epilogue was so sweet how they have 1 child and another on the way while their wedding is coming up
