Scandals, lies, and secrets are all Summer Savage knows. When she enrolls in a prestigious private school, she is all but aware of what is in store for her. 4 years ago; she met Whit Lancaster with the face of an angel but the mouth of the devil. They shared a quick moment but never saw each other again until she enrolled in Lancaster Prep. Whit strives to make Summer's life at Lancaster Prep a living hell, but you can do whatever you want when your family owns the school, especially when the new girl's mom is the reason for your family's scandalous divorce. Soon enough, Summer finds herself being blackmailed by the angel-faced devil. She will do whatever she can to regain what he took from her so long as no one figures out her deepest secret.

I wanted to give this book four stars, but I dropped it to three because some of the content was cliché. This was a true bully+enemies to lovers trope book. However, I enjoyed this book because it reminds me of Gossip Girl, minus the twist. While this book had a plot, it was very weak and anti-climactic. However, if you read books based on their spice level, this book will be a 5 out of 5. If you read books based on plot, writing styles, and all that, then this probably wouldn't be a book for you. All in all, it was an excellent read. I did enjoy the read; I just wanted more.

Haunted by the sins of their parents Whit and Summer are pitted against each other with a mutual hatred that stems from this. Summer is strong even when she feels like she isn’t she holds her head high and tries so hard to not let things drag her down, but sometimes that seems impossible when a guy like Whit is your number one enemy. Whit likes to think he hates Summer, and she is nothing but pathetic like her mother, yet he can’t seem to stay away from her. She draws him in with just a look and although he tries so hard to break her down, he can’t stay out of her orbit. They go back and forth with hatred and want while outside forces try to keep them apart. I don’t want to give too much away because as a reader you need to experience their ups and downs to get the full effect. At times I could get frustrated with their constant I hate but I want you obsession that went on forever, but I enjoyed their growth. Lies, betrayals, bullying, manipulations this book has it all. I hated their parents so much and even Sylvie at the end, but I loved the direction the story went for these two. If you love a super steamy, enemies to lovers, bully trope this is the book for you. This author has made a dark world that seems impossible for happiness, that frustrates the reader, yet draws them in, and turned it into something amazing.

2 stars. i'm sorry this just didn't do it for me. i wanted to love it. and let me just say i am a fan of bully romances, but this was a bit too much for. the mmc was just plain mean, constantly belittles the fmc, and victim blames her. it's just too much. the chemistry and the character arc was essentially nonexistent. the fmc has absolutely zero backbone or self respect. i will but continuing the series because i think i have heard it gets a bit better.

4.75⭐️

Okay, I absolutely loved this!! It’s not quite a 5 star read because I know there was something missing but I can’t put my finger on it - maybe the lack of emotional connection throughout the book until the end?? I’m not sure because I did really love it! And it was kinda a slow burn for the love part??? But I loved reading about Whit’s character development and how he slowly let his feelings out for Summer instead of trying not to feel anything!
I also wish there was more bullying on Whit’s part, instead of just his minions at school doing it — I think they’re my only two points to make it 5 stars!

It was pretty much 90% 10% plot, but I am not complaining at all

Ah yes, because blackmail can really lead to consent. This is aimed at new adult which are typically younger and more naive. It was a fairly disgusting read for me and I’ve read and enjoyed quite a few dark romance books.

This isn’t a dark romance, this is just awful.

This book is written stylistically like a sex obsessed, traumatized, wattpad fic. It was awful. The only reason I stuck with it is because I’m not a quitter. The plot, if you could call it that is all over the place and you can guarantee that every other page is a redundant, misguided bdsm sexcapade.

It’s new adult. It’s messy and toxic. ANGTSYYYY. And unrealistic. But I binged it overnight bc I couldn’t put it down so it gets all the stars.

Tropes: Bully, Obsessed Hero, Dub Con, bordering one non-con.

This books was everything I didn’t know I needed. I think I have made it obviously that I love a toxic relationship, Summer and Whit are definitely that.

Whit who hates summer but also, will stop at nothing, to be with Summer, uses every tactic in the book, to make her life a living hell. Until one night he finds the one thing, that will make her his. Whit is not a Sweet hero, he’s an “anti-hero”… he will do whatever he has to, to get what he wants. But He is the type of hero, that no one else is allowed to harm Summer, so he can be really protective, which I really love in this type of hero.

The thing I loved about Summer, she did have a backbone, she would still push back on Whit, and not let the words of others get to her. She has been through some traumatic moments in her past, and has come a long way since then. I really did love her character, even though she was flawed.

This story I couldn’t get enough of, I loved all the angst, steam, and the Intense connection Whit and Summer shared, that’s been undeniable since the moment they met. The growth of the characters, and seeing them overcome so much together… really made this a 5 star read. I love seeing flawed and broken characters find each other.

After this book, I’ve fallen in love with The authors writing, and I’m defiantly going to read more. I really do hope she give Sylvie Whits sister a books, there’s so much left to tell.

I defiantly recommend this book!

Cravings needed, taken and flourished

I have it this book for so long in my Kindle library. I never intended to open it the day before Halloween. It was highly addicting and so hard to put down. But buckle up because it's a LONG one.

When we meet Whittaker Lancaster (he's already so cynical) and Summer Savage (she's playing dress up in a world she doesn't know how to navigate), they are the only two "children" at an adult party and Whit is immediately fascinated with her.

They meet up there years later after the scandal of their parents affair has rocked their world. Time didn't lessen Whit's interest in Summer it only magnified it. Whit's not a guy who's ever been taught how to deal with his emotions and this obsession makes him lash out at Summer, making her life miserable at Lancaster Prep. While he may make her life a living nightmare, Sumner can't stay away and this is their journey of a relationship between two teenagers who share a connection they don't know how to handle it.

If your not one to enjoy a lot of s3xy scenes, you might want to skip this book. Because OMG, this book has them all and I was so here for them. Each and every one!

What I think I enjoyed a lot in this book is that it's prevalent that we all have choices. Don't make the choices for someone else, make the ones you NEED in your life. Great book!
