This book pissed me off so bad. For starters, whit is an actual psychopath. I don’t like how they first met, how they started fucking each other at school, how they reconnected as adults. The list could go on forever. Summer is so annoying sometimes and I never once found their relationship romantic. I don’t know if that’s the point? Since her degradation kink is a little out of hand and I can’t stand her. I also cannot figure out why she liked him in the first place, this was such a weird “enemies to lovers?” storyline that couldn’t get me to vouch for either side. It was giving saltburn vibes when she went to their one house for thanksgiving break, but summer did dog out sylvie on that trip too so I can’t even be mad at how she reacted. It’s gonna take me a while to get back into reading this series since I just wasn’t expecting this one to be so terrible. Also I hate anal and I can’t believe she ATE HIS ASS??!?!?!
This book let me down! I had high hopes because I love a million kisses in your lifetime. How men talked about women in this book disgusted me and completely ruined the book for me. I did not feel any connection between the characters I just felt like they wanted each other for one thing and that is NOT love. Whit was way too possessive... there is the want to protect someone and there is claiming someone like an object and that is what Whit did to Summer.
Also, one minute Summer is telling him she doesn't want to move to New York with him and literally a month later she has moved to New York with him. She tells him she doesn't want kids with him for a while because they are young and then about two years later has a child with him. The one thing she stuck with was not marrying him when he wanted to and waited five years instead.
There is so much more I could say about this book but I won't. This book frustrated me so much and honestly, I don't think I have ever been so annoyed at a book before.

it got so repetitive. like i get that this is a steamy book, but they had sex about every 5 pages and it was nowhere near as 'sick' as you'd imagine considering how they called each other 'sick' every other sentence. believe me, i've read sicker shit. the writing wasn't THAT awful so 2 stars it is.
