This book felt like multiple other books/ shows crammed into one. It definitely kept my interest but I'm not sure if it's 100% a good thing? I went in blind but there's a bunch of trigger warnings for this book I'm sure.

I read this off the back of watching Maxton Hall and wanting more antsy school drama!
The story follows Whit Lancaster and Summer Savage they meet a 14 at a party and Whit tells summer that her mum is sleeping with his father. We then skip a few years later we find out Summer hasn’t had a great time and after losing her step father and step brother she moves to the very private Lancaster Prep which is owned by Whits family. Whit decided to make summers life hell blaming her mother’s sins on her however no matter how badly he treats her or tells her he hates her he just can’t get enough of her.
I felt Whit was really problematic and most of what he does to Summer is awful, however I couldn’t help routing for them and hoping they got their happy ending.

📰🎥 Nicknames: Savage
Things I Wanted To Say is a bully romance following the unconventional love story of Whittaker Lancaster and Summer Savage. Born into extreme wealth and a lavish lifestyle, Whittaker is known to be amongst one of the richest people, whilst Summer had been known as the daughter of the woman who indulged herself in a scandal. Her mother, Janine Weatherstone had been engaged to Jonas Weatherstone who eluded riches whilst engaging in a on affair with Augustus Lancaster, causing the families to drive apart. After first meeting at the age of 14, Whit and Summer meet again upon her joining for her senior year at Lancaster prep. Whit strongly disliked her initially, encouraging people to act cruel towards Summer, ensuring she had no friends and dreaded her like at Prep. Despite their rocky first encounters, Whit insisted Summer kept seeing him through his leverage on her; her diary- outlining her deepest secrets she locked away for no one else’s acknowledgment. Summer also began to form a bond with one of Whit’s sister, Slyvie whose betrayal left me shattered- she only longed to manipulate Summer in hope of some form of rebellion and deriving pleasure from going against her families wishes. Slyvia, his mother, was a character I could not bring myself to like nor defend as she was so keep on destroying the relationship of the teenage lovers, forcing Whit into an engagement with Leticia and blackmailing Summer with her own journal. What broke me the most had to be the devastating 16 months gap, the force in distance in their relationship due to selfish characters such as Slyvia and Slyvie is certainly not exempt. I could not bring myself do like Janine either- she simply was not an amiable character. Not only did she disregard her daughter, suspect that Yates was assaulting Summer but chose not to act on it, but she let her own daughter believe she was responsible for the fire that caused Yates and Jonas to die when she had been responsible. In some instances I absolutely did not like Whit’s character at all due to his immaturity and narcissistic tendencies which led me to not enjoying the read for some parts though he does eventually develop in character. I adored Montgomery IV, who happened to be the perfect side character, with a great humour and helped get Whit and Summer back together, he really does deserve his own book. My favourite quotes in this book are: (1) "You're stunning, do you know that? - You try to hide it, but there's no use. You're fucking beautiful, and it frustrates the shit out of me, Savage." (2) "I don't want you to leave

tomorrow."
"You said I should."
"I take it back. I want you to stay." (When Summer was staying at their house for thanksgiving)
(3) "Sometimes I would think you weren't real. You couldn't be that perfect. But you are real. It's as if you were made for me." (4) Summer drove me out of my mind with lust, but she also...softened me.

Made me smile. Made me happy, damn it. An emotion I didn't believe I was capable of feeling.
Only she did that for me. And I haven't felt that way since she walked out of my life.
Not once. 🎥📰

This was a fun time but not life changing. Could’ve been 200 pages shorter. Looooooved me some Whit though.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES FROM THIS YEAR AND MAYBE EVER.
You know when you love a book so much that you cant stop. THIS WAS THAT FOR ME. I read all 552 pages of the ebook in one day. I finally feel like this book gave me the feeling of when I first started reading. As I go through this journey of my love of books I have found it harder to have the same feeling of when I first started. I read the whole off balance series in 2 1/2 days when I first started and now I struggle getting 100 pages through a book and loving it.
THIS BOOK MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS BEFORE. The writing was impeccable! Whit could obliterate my body and I would say thank you. Summer was strong but a little annoying by the end but the epilogue made me melt.
Prep schools are my SHIT. Maybe it's the younger sam who wanted the gossip girl life. BUT THIS BOOK is as if cruel intentions and gossip girl had a baby.
Think royal elite but in New York and it's a boarding school. Paris sent me into an all time high. I can confidently say that this book is one of favs now and that IT IS WORTH THE READ.
Do I think it could have been shorter. yes.
Do I mind how long it is. no.
I CANNOT WAIT TO JUMP INTO Million Kisses because some even say it's better.
Let's dive back into Lancaster Prep!
Ps: Let's see if whit's cousin can beat his AMAZINGNESS.
