Ok, I've heard mixed reviews. I'm really glad I started it even if I was wary. At first, I was completely in love. Then, halfway through, I was ready for it to be over. Over 600 pages is a long book, but as soon as I was about to give up, I fell in love with the story all over again. Summer isn't the greatest FMC, but I love her all the same. She's flawed, a bit whishy washy, stubborn, but yet so loveable too. I love how she didn't let what Whit was doing affect her. Or at least affect her outwardly. She didn't allow the other students or teachers to make her feel less than. She's stubborn, and she didn't want to show weakness. Her stubbornness and drive are exactly what made Whit fall in love with her.

I have a love/hate relationship with Whit. I wish he would have treated Summer better. What he did was wrong on so many levels. Yet, he was hurting, too. They both were hurting for very different reasons. Whit should not have compared Summer to her mother. Just because Summers mom had an affair with his dad and destroyed his parents' marriage, it didn't mean that Summer would be the same. It took losing her completely for him to realize it and stand up to his parents.

Friendships and relationships are complicated things. I know everyone goes through ups and downs. I just despise Sylvie for how she treated Summer. Was her friend then threw vitriol at her because of petty bullshit. It made me so angry because Summer was devastated. I think losing Sylvie as a friend hurt her just as much as losing Whit. Their mother is a monster. Though, there did come some good. Summer did sort of reconcile with her mother. Although, her mother is a piece of work. At least she did sort of help Summer, and their relationship is so different by the end. Summer lost a lot and gained so much. One of my favorite gains has to be Monty. He is the best friend she desperately needs. And I'm so glad they stayed friends even years later.

This book is complicated and flawed in so many ways, but it's a good representation of how complicated we are as humans. I can't rate this book anything other than 5 stars because it had me feeling everything. It was full of damaged, hurt, and traumatized characters. A true accounting of humanity, youth, and excess. On to Sylvie's book, even if I'm not excited about it.

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT

This book was great. Smut galore.
I didn’t know what to expect going in, but I loved it. Every second of this book had me hooked! Without giving spoilers, I will admit there are parts in the book I wish we’re not over looked. But still it was a fun book, but such a wild ride. Getting to read about Summer and Whits obsession for one another was absolutely enthralling. Can I please have a Whit for myself too, is that too much to ask!? Overall I LOVE this book! I can see how it may not be for everyone, but whew was it great for me.

3.5 ★

► Bully Romance
► Toxic Relationships
► college/ high school drama
► Enemies to Lovers
► forbidden romance

Well… I don’t know if I loved this book and have issues or if I hated it.. this is one of the hardest books I’ve ever had to rate so I’ve gone for a safe 3 stars. No this book has a chokehold on me and I could not put it down! I need to know what was happening at all times and this book was not short for drama.

Now I absolutely love a bully romance! There is something about a rude MMC bullying the girl he is obsessed with that is a guilty pleasure for me but damn Whit would have had my crying on the floor for days if he spoke to me the way he spoke to summer. He was so fucking mean. Now be sure to check your trigger warnings, this book is not for everybody, Whit degrades the shit out of summer. He calls her a whore on the daily and treats her like one too, he always says a whole lot of other things that I know people wouldn’t like. Buttt the hard part is that summer loved being spoke to that way and got off on it, so if she’s okay with it then I’m okay with it...

Besides that summer and Whit relationship started off so toxic, watching there relationship change throughout this book from lust to love was very entertaining and as I said, I couldn’t stop!

Will I continue on this series?? Absolutely I

It’s not hard to impress me over a book. Was it great? No. Was it horrible? Also no. I’m simply indifferent! I bought this whole series so im determined to finish it and be done with it so book #3 in the series OTC

Honestly cute story despite all the smut scenes which I sometimes wish they had ANY interactions where they didn’t have s*x really which is what brought the rating down a bit

Good but kinda boring. Repetitive.
