This book is absolutely fantastic holly Jackson knows how to write characters and books that can tear your heart to pieces
the letter from Arthur at the end completely tore me to pieces I cried so much and it showed more of his character
this book had so many twists and turns that I never knew what direction it was going in

Wow, this book was quite the rollercoaster. Each character was compelling and different and had their own quirks and faults. I looooove the narration style so much. Highly recommend!

Holly Jackson has quickly risen on the list of my favorite authors with the agggtm and now this. I love the way everything that’s been building up comes together at the end, even though there’s so much. Other authors struggle with plot twists when’s there’s more than a few in a row, but I think it was done wonderfully here. Even though it’s a standalone, I find myself wanting more of Red and Arthur’s story. Also great job making the most insufferable character I’ve ever read (on purpose I know), and keeping his, and the other characters’ flaws consistent throughout. All in all a wonderful read, although it seemed a bit drawn out at times. Great first book of the year!

I listened to this on audio and this was an intense ride. The ending is slightly predictable, but you are still second guessing everything the entire way. This was a solid standalone from Holly Jackson and I look forward to more from her in the future.
