It was a fun read alright. Before reading dark romance, you must discard all sense of morality.

I skimmed a lot of this… some of this was okay. I’m
Not into books with constant belting, spanking ,strapping and whipping. It just makes me want to head but t the H, knock him out and tie him up and give him a dose of his own medicine. I labored through this one though, the ending was the best part.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

Amazing read! I couldn't put it down. Stockholm syndrome seems to be my favorite book, and this one had it in spades. So many good points in this story, and even though the author spent agonizing pages of Lake training Lily, the ending did seem a bit rushed. Still I felt I was really entertained so I gave it five stars. Yes, this book starts out dark, and Lake was kind of cold but his reasons came out. Even though I really don't think it's right to make someone pay for something someone else did, I imagine the end result paid off. I was captivated and it held my attention until the end. Thanks Netgalley for another great read!

interesting very character driven book. mixes Romantic suspense and BDSM in an intriguing way until the last part when the slight plot is left to wallow a bit. Lake is a mystery even to the end, although his motivations aren't. Author deliberately leaves the mystery. Lily's motivations are less well developed but the author's ability to write well makes the plot and relational developments fairly easy to swallow.

Captive, Mine is not a book for everyone, but still one that I enjoyed. Fans of dark romance will appreciate the story.

Lily is the spoiled daughter of a drug dealer and Lake is the merc hired to protect her. Or so Lily thinks. He does end up protecting her when it comes down to it, but he goes about it in a very... unconventional way.

Parts of this book were a little hard to read, but the way their "relationship" evolved was interesting and made me want to keep reading until the end.

I'm not really sure were to start.....

I read the blurb and thought it sounded pretty good. When I first started reading the book it was very interesting. But, I have to say that the book was a little off for me. I would say that this is a very dark, when I think of BDSM, I thinks safe, sane and consensual. This was not that. It does have a BDSM thyme but not in the context that the blurb lead me to believe. I had a really hard time with the fact that for most of the book it was not consensual. But I understand the story like and really liked how it ended.

I gave it only 3.5 starts due to the fact that the book blurb was very misleading. I like the book over all though.
