This collection is feminist leaning, sexually inclusive and definitely a fun read. I loved it for those reasons. Ultimately I just couldn’t connect with many of the references as I am not the “geek girl” target audience. As with all collections from various artists/writers, this one had a vast array of works ranging from clever, well-written and thought-provoking to simple and ho-hum. However, I do think I would really have appreciated this more if I shared the writers’ interests. I am glad I picked this up from a little library and plan to pass it along to my gamer/LOTR-loving/Comic-Con attending neighbor, Dawn so that it can start being passed around in the right circles.
