Four and a half stars. (Goodreads really could have made ratings better than this by now.) Believe it or not, the Stephen King presence was hardly detectable, and I enjoyed the shit out of this. Owen King is a much better writer than I'd have expected, and the plot, although weird, was really fun and interesting. I enjoyed this very much and would read anything by Owen King in the future.

3.5 starts, but I'll round up to 4. First off - I thought this was good. However - my first question - why was this written between 2 people? I'm sure I could google Owen King and figure out his background, but I'll just ask random questions here. Is Stephen just helping out Owen? How much did Owen actually write? I was reading the reviews on Amazon, and people were angry because there was kind of apolitical take - but I thought not too much and honestly really only at the beginning.
I thought the ending would be MORE. Like - why didn't the men destroy everything? Why didn't the women decide not to come back. There just wasn't enough of a struggle for me, and I ended up not really believing that that's really how it would have turned out.

My first Stephen king and Owen king book ever... Let alone a collaboration between the two. Not bad.. I'm not a fan of scary books or movies (yes big chicken) so I treaded carefully... But they are good writers.. If I had read either before than I would have tried to decipher who wrote which part.. Lol.. Full review to come soon.. 2018 ultimate reading challenge - a scary book
Stephen King wrote this? I am a big fan for King's work but Sleeping Beauties is a big disappointment in many aspects. The story was too long without progress, many characters without depth. The plot starts exciting for few pages than moves into a chattered pace that is sometimes hard to follow.
