A memoir from one of Schindler's Jews. Tragic, brutal yet full of perseverance and hope.

Although the subject matter was difficult to stomach, I had a hard time tearing myself away from this book. It is well crafted and vividly written. It was only after I finished it that I realized it was for younger readers—as an e-book it was hard to tell. Written in the first person, I don’t see how an adult version would have been that much different.

Another great Holocaust related memoir through the eyes of a child on Schindler’s list.

This book was really amazing. I usually don't prefer non-fiction books, but I'd read this book again over one of the many petty teen fiction books I have read before (btw they're not all petty, there are some great teen fiction books). This book is an autobiography packed with tragic details that make your mouth twitch and if you were to read it aloud, your voice would probably waver. I would definitely recommend this book :) <3
