I loved the book. It's writing style is very interesting. It is a manuscript about a failed socialist revolution that was found 700 years in the future after the revolution is successful. As George Orwell said, "This book is a better prediction of the future than 1984 or Brave New World."

Maybe it's because I'm not a socialist and maybe it's because this is a lackluster book but I just felt like there wasn't enough meat to this story? Very interesting concept but not executed well.

The framing device hurts more than it helps, and too much of this book gives "and everyone clapped". Once the self insert intellectual leaves the work of the book is much more effective.
