I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now, and it did not disappoint! (Also, any hockey romance with a cover illustrated by Leni Kaufman is 🤩 - see Icebreaker & Collide for further proof)

This was an adorable premise, and I appreciated the way the more difficult topics were approached - between Mike’s ongoing grief and Rory’s struggle with food and body image, it felt REAL. Definitely looking forward to the follow-up story with Gretchen!

I couldn’t get past “I really fucking hate liars, so don’t lie to me, ok?”
Just that sort of intensity with not enough character development when you already know that by omitting knowing him is going to blow up for them

I love the way this book dealt with difficult topics. This was a cute and sweet romance it was an excellent palette cleanser from some of my recent books. You will find yourself smiling and laughing with the characters. Aurora considers herself a failed professional dancer after dropping out of school. Now she teaches children’s tap in a small town. When Mike and his daughter Olivia enter her life. Mike is a widower trying to do the best he can as a single parent. Aurora is shocked to learn she’s met this Mike a famous hockey player before. Aurora is the breath of fresh air for Mike and Olivia as they work through grief.

I highly recommend this as an audiobook the narration was excellent. I was so drawn into the story I couldn’t stop listening.
