I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Although there were some interesting thoughts that shifted my thinking, it seemed like for other "lies," he combated cherry-picked theology with a different brand of cherry-picked theology. That's not to say all of his conclusion were wrong (I can't speak to that) but the arguments weren't as strong as I was expecting.
For me, coming from a background where some believe that pastors should be the sin police (while I think that sets up a power differential and an avenue for abuse), I enjoyed this quote: "I guess it is risky for a pastor to say to a church, 'You don't need me to hound you about your behavior. God lives in you. He will guide you."
