Ha sido el libro que menos me ha gustado de la autora hasta ahora. Además, justo antes de empezarlo me había terminando un libro que me encantó.
En general, los personajes me han parecido poco desarrollados y el instalove lo tengo demasiado visto. Además, era bastante obvio como iba a acabar y además había demasiados clichés.
Lo bueno que le veo a este libro es la forma de escribir de la aurora, que como siempre es magnífica. Usa una prosa poetica preciosa y un lenguaje lírico casi musical que embauca a cualquiera.

It wasn't really Nora's best book. I don't usually like my heroes smoking so that was one minus point. The imagery of the locations and Nature were great. Overall, an entertaining book.

This wasn’t quite up to Nora’s usual standards but it was still an enjoyable read nonetheless. I thought the idea was really interesting and wish it had been expanded on more, it felt like everything happened so fast and the story was in a rush to be over. And because of that I didn’t get a chance to connect with any of the characters which very much affected my enjoyment of the story. It’s much easier to get into a story when you genuinely care about the characters and what happens to them!

Muy buena historia!!
Charity Ford es la dueña de una posada en Orcas, una bella isla cerca de la frontera con Canadá. Es el lugar perfecto para relajarse y pasar un relajado descanso. También es el lugar perfecto para traficar personas y billetes.
La isla y la posada son el centro de la investigación de Agente Roman DeWinter, encubierto consigue trabajo en la posada para infiltrarse en la operación. Si bien consigue descubrir a varios sospechosos, a Charity no la puede culpar ni descartar y lo peor son los sentimientos que ella despierta en él, sentimientos que pueden poner toda la operación en peligro.
Me gustó mucho esta historia, no es el típico macho de las novelas de los '80; supongo que como es de 1989 hay una diferencia, tiene el ritmo rápido y el fin abrupto que quizás hoy en día no es tan común pero la trama está bien lograda y tanto Charity como Roman son personajes adorables.

This is more commentary than review but honestly what’s the deal with romance books being resolved with a “I’m sorry i lied to you (about a big huge thing) but i love you so marry me anyway” thing? If someone breaks my trust that way, even if i love them, they have to earn back that trust before I’d commit in any sort of way... maybe that’s just less satisfying for a reader but it’s a hella lot more believable
