Stupid story. I hated everything about it. Not sure why this one is rated so highly but it sucked for me.

What a delight - it was funny and charming! Poor Frederick is such a worry-wort!
The illustrations were stunning! I loved the scenery of the forest sweeping into Frederick's bedroom.
Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<

A great book telling the story of two children who have very different experiences. The young boy is stuck in his house with his mum and is a very formal in his writing style. The young girl on the other hand is always outside and free, she is a much more child-like character. The children write letters to each other which would be lovely to replicate in the classroom when doing letter writing as children are likely to find the activity fun and exciting. The colours are also interesting to explore in the book with the boys pages being much more dull and dark and the girls bright and colourful. A great text for year 1-year 3 children.

Beautifully illustrated children book with a strong message about not being afraid of enjoying life, going out there and try stuff, do things, and not just go through life but truly living it. Very good book!
The art in this book is the most beautiful thing ever! Like seriously spectacular. It's vibrant and has very pretty textures. I didn't really understand the story, however that could be the format in which I read it. I did enjoy the premise though. Lovely illustrations!
