Where the hell can I get me my own Scottie.
Let me just say the banter between the two main characters is what sold me first and foremost.
The entire cast of characters in this series are just amazing- I am seriously in love with this series. I didn’t think it would get better than the first book. However, this second installment blew me away.
Do yourself a favor and grab all in this series- hoping the rest of the characters get their stories told too.

The ending felt rushed with the miscommunication trope here and there? Which got resolved fast but it still annoyed me.
I honestly did love Sophie and Gabriel. However when it got to their “problems”, he always just assumed the worst and it felt like she never spoke up for herself 🙁
He did learn to open up and show his caring side more which was soo lovely and sweet. Overall, the whole dynamic of them and the whole band group was witty, cute, and wholesome!
I really enjoy the author’s writing, though. It was written beautifully and the chosen words were thought out. I think that’s what made up for what “annoyed” me.
whoa this series took me by surprise! i havent enjoyed a NA novel this much since. . . idk but i loved it. i can't decide if book one or two is my favorite but i did love Sophie much much more!
3.5 stars
This is a funny book. The characters are really funny when they meet, but I felt we lost that personality somewhere along the story.
It was a great romance, don't get me wrong, I just couldn't connect with the characters. Anyhow, it was still entertaining.
CW: mentions of suicide
Trope: grumpy and sunshine, forced proximity, slow burn, can't sleep without you (that's a trope right?)

I love the grumpy/sunshine trope sooo
much, and it was amazing to see Gabriel and Sophie deal with each other, they were sooooo
sweet. Sophie was adorable, Gabriel was the perfect mix of the grumpy hero with a soft spot, I was glad we got to see his love and caring for the band.
I do wish we could see more background story for Sophie, we know so little about her, the story don't approach about her dreams.
The drama at the end was so unnecessary !! It was simply to fill out the drama needed and finalize the story.
Also, I love the dynamics of Kill John as a band and as a family.
