First things first, I just want to say how much I LOVEEEEE Sophia!!! Kristen C. created an AMAZING heroine!! How can anyone not like her??? Honestly, I loved her more than I loved Scottie! I loved this book! I loved the Kill John secondary characters! I lost my mind when Scottie hit rock bottom and put on a pair of sweatpants! Can't wait to read Jax's story!
Sophie & Gabriel are both great characters. Sophie is blunt, honest, snarky and oh so entertaining. I like how she doesn’t excuse her past mistake. She regrets what she did but she owns it and I trying to be better. I love how she teases Gabriel and works her way behind his walls and into his heart. I love how Gabriel responds and lets her in. Scottie (Gabriel) is so closed off but also very caring underneath. Serious and focussed, Sophie gradually gets him to open up and let other people in. There banter was really amusing and I enjoyed the development of their relationship.
You know how this type of story always has the obligatory misunderstanding/break up well it doesn’t appear til near the very end and was very short lived which was good. I was annoyed by it cause it was caused by Sophie just not telling him about the message from her ex (as most of these stupid misunderstandings are if they would just COMMUNICATE they wouldn’t have these stupid problems). And even tho he was really mad & reacted badly I liked that in Gabriel’s mind it was just a fight and there was never any doubt in his mind that he loved her and wanted to be with her.

I laughed when I found out he was an underground fighter or whatever. Tried to make him tough but sometimes its okay just to be a suit exec
