Read this one because it was recommended by the #FatedMates podcast. A bit predictable but the slow burn and then long-awaited climax (heehee, pun intended) set this romance apart. I also loved the rock star vibe and multiple international settings.

UHHHHH I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK AND NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHY??? Okay so I remember when I read the first chap after Idol/VIP 1... it was awesome, but I must have been delusional because VIP 1 must not have been any good????? The start of Managed was so good - funny, banter, lovely teasing, everything I like in shipping couples. But then the more I read, the worse it got. Okay I know these kind of books are all about the sexual tension and thereafter but seriously, there was no need for some of the shit I read???? What even happened.

Originally I rated Managed 4 stars, but I've read this book a total of three times now and I love it so much. The second and third time I read the novel I got something new out of it that made my heart flutter and my eyes water. I genuinely love the main characters, their relationship is so fresh and sarcastic and you truly get to see the development from employee to friend to relationship.

Of course, no New Adult book is complete without its drama and Lord does this book serve up plenty of that, but it all adds to the story. It's not unnecessary, which I find happens with Abbi Glines' works. Overall this is one of my favourite books.

SO MANY OF MY FAVORITE TROPES IN THIS ONE - GRUMP/SUNSHINE, "ONLY YOU CAN CALL ME BY MY REAL NAME," "I ONLY SLEEP WELL WHEN IT'S WITH YOU," ETC. ETC.

The last quarter of the book was much weaker than the rest of the book, which was fairly strong. But overall, nice, slow build-up of the relationship. The couple's chemistry was completely believable.

The book was flat out predictable but I really enjoyed the dialogues.

Cute addition to the series. I laughed a lot at the interactions between the main characters. The book was a little more sweet than hot for me.
