I had high hopes for this book after reading the Revan book by the same author however, as much as I did like the character of Theron Shan, I found myself not being very interested in the story of this book. Taking down the big ship that’s powered by the force/magic I really just didn’t love as being the main plot for the book.
All the other old republic books do a good job of explaining the villain’s motives and giving you a look into their perspectives but in this one the villain felt very 1 dimensional

Not my fav old republic book but not my least fav. honestly these are all starting to morph together haha maybe cause I’m reading them back to back?
Like pretty much all the other Star wars books I’ve read/listened to, I enjoyed it and it’s just interesting to read about the Star wars universe (specifically story lines that aren’t in the movies/shows). I also liked learning more about the Sith. But yeah sometimes listening to this, I would zone out so I guess that’s why it’s 3.5 stars and not higher.
I liked Theron and Gnost-Dural and their little duo. And Satele Shan too! It’s nice reading about likeable characters.
Overall, this series was good not great. First one was the best, then the second book, then this book and then the third book. Excited to keep on listening to more Star Wars books though!
Side note: reading these books made me realize how much Jedi’s get into relationships like I swore that was like huge deal in the movies and in the books I feel like they all have secret relationships and it’s whatever haha
