Shameful. Romanticising the hardships of a young Jewish orphaned girl. Clearly written by someone with enormous amounts of privilege and poor knowledge of the reality of wartime Europe. I got rid of the book as soon as I could.

Review: (no spoilers)
This books gives me classic book vibes, so I definitely recommend for those who like slow paced books. I think the book being in the point of view of death was amazing storytelling. I only gave it a 4 because I don’t care much for classics, but overall it’s not a bad story. I think I can appreciate it more when I’m older though.
