A Wizard's Guide is a super cute and fun read.
I'm in a bit of a weird place with T. Kingfisher. I've read 3 of her books - this one I loved, one I didn't care for and another I don't even remember reading. Maybe her fun, fantasy work better for me, over her horror. I'm happy to keep trying for now.
Overall can't recommend this enough! It's really helped my reading after being a bit burnt out from heavier books.

A fun read, though the writing is repetitive at times.
Magical
I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite book I read this year. As an experienced baker so many things resonated with me, but the story is fantastic aside from that. Yes it’s got baking but it also touches on very timely things, like privilege and how we treat otherness. How people are thrust in to the role of hero when they shouldn’t have to be. It is just so good, in can’t gush over it enough.

My first T. Kingfisher book, but definitely not my last! Thoroughly enjoyed this cozy read as it still had a lot of depth. Love that it's a standalone but definitely wouldn't mind reading more set in this world.
