The fabric creations in this book are fabulous, but the reading level is definitely geared at much younger readers.

I think the illustration style (felted figures! photographed in front of constructed miniature backgrounds!) of the books by [a:Jack Wang|5813845|Jack Wang|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] and [a:Holman Wang|574105|Holman Wang|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] is just so cool. My library only has a couple of their books, so when my dad asked for suggestions of books to get for my 1- and 3-year-olds for Christmas, I asked for some of these board books for my 1-year-old. I was unsurprised that one of his choices was from their Star Wars "Epic Yarns" series.

Beautifully crafted characters wonderfully staged and surprisingly a great tool in helping our 4 year old learn to read. Can't imagine how he could have become a fan of Star Wars. ;)

Cutest board book I have ever read! Perfect for any young padawan and Jedi parents.

Re-read

This book has twelve words, each illustrated by beautifully handcrafted felt scenes from Episode IV.

This series has two audiences: the very young, and Star Wars fans. And let's be honest, the bulk of the people buying this would be Star Wars fans who have become parents.

The youngest person of the household is now right on the older edge of the child audience scale for this book, as they are able to read most of the words. Their review: "It's short and funny."

There are movie spoilers in this book! The spoiler word is
Spoiler'sister', beside a felted image of Luke and Leia
. Just be aware of this if you are reading this with someone who is old enough to understand but hasn't seen the films yet. As with the previous book, my tactic was to suddenly flip that page and move on. My child said, "Hey, we missed a page again!" Fortunately they still found this amusing and did not question it. It's hard being a Star Wars parent, guys.

Detailed felt illustrations alone make this worth a look.
