2.5 stars. I’ve loved the crazy ride that the Royals series has been up to this point. The cliffhangers and the anticipation between releases were part of what made this series so fun. Something about this book though wasn’t as captivating as the others. With every other book in the series, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were so many ups and downs, so many over the top, crazy things happening, that I couldn’t put the books down. I didn’t feel that way with this one. It wasn’t really exciting at all up until the last 10% and then I felt like it ended so abruptly, almost like the authors were just over it and hurried to finish.

Easton was still a hot mess for a good portion of this book. He does finally start to show some signs of maturity and I liked that he finally put someone else’s best interests before his own. However, there were a few things that I felt went unaddressed and I still have questions about. It’s still a 3-star read for me because I can’t bear to give it anything less, but it was a disappointing end to the series.

Last book in The Royals series by Erin Watt and what a book to end it all on.

We pick up from the last book with Hartley and Easton, after the car accident has happened, Seb is in surgery and then ends up in a coma, while Hartley suffers a fall which causes her to have amnesia and can't remember anything that happened in the last 3 years.

We follow Hartley trying to figure out what the hell is going on with her, her family and school, as well as everything she can't remember. It not a easy road, the Dr told her that no one should help as they can say stuff that's not true which would cause her own memories to alter, so she trying to figure out whats best to forget the past and move forward or get answers to everything, only problem is she doesn't know who she can trust as seems like everyone at Aster is making it up and calling her stuff which doesn't fit but she has no idea.

Easton is falling to pieces without Hartley and watching his family fall apart after the car accident, he doesn't know what he can do or focus. Then it all goes wrong and his dad take it all away and tells him to get his act together. That's when Hartley comes back to him, no she doesn't remember anything but she wants the truth and she relies Easton will give her it, even if its too hard.

Together they form a plan to take down Hartley's father to save her sister, but it soon turns out that its so much more and who includes Ella's father can they work together to take them both down? Well it all goes to plan until it doesn't which results in 2 deaths and Easton getting badly hurt, but it works out in the end and Hartley and her sister are safe and living at the Royals. We also end the book with a marriage and all is good in the royal household.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and would highly recommend it to others, its full of everything, emotions, romance, spice, thrill, dark, mystery and so much more.

What a book? A fantastic ending to this long dramatic journey. I think all readers get the ending they want in all aspects.

This is the much anticipated follow up to Fallen Heir.  The major cliffhanger at the end of Fallen Heir air made the wait for this feel like forever. I was so excited to read this story.

The book picks right almost right after where the last one left off. While at the hospital waiting for news about Seb after the crash, Hartley is involved in another accident and as a result of this loses the last few years of her memory. She has no idea who to trust and doesn't even remember why Eastern is giving her the time of day.

The first half of the is the book is intense, between not know if Seb is going to pull through and Hartley having not much of a clue about what is going on but its the second half of the story that really gets interesting. I don't want to give too much away but its everything you would come to expect from a Royals book - I loved it!

Finally the ending - it was perfectly beautiful and a great way to finish the series off although I am hoping they will write a book from the Twins Pov because I've always thought they were the most interesting of the lot.
