This book is a reflection of Ogle's memories of his Abuela, a woman who has dementia and is starting to forget things about their life. In this book you feel how much his Abuela loves him, and fights for him to believe in himself and have a good life. After reading it, when you reflect on how much it must hurt for him to have this woman forget about him, your heart will break. Powerful.

This book (and the previous two, Free Lunch and Punching Bag) makes me feel a way that no other book has. Some of the painful reminders of childhood and familiar feelings of adults that both failed and helped me… it’s therapeutic to revisit them through Rex’s writing.

So, beautifully written. Rex Ogle continues to be an inspiration by putting his heart and soul into the words of his books.
