Oh my gosh!!! This was so good, and the ending! I loved the cameo appearances, and I expected one. The last though totally took me by surprise! I was just thinking I wanted Elder to have a laughing light hearted paragraph, but knew it wasn't going to last. This series is killing me! I need the last one now!
I’m obsessed!!! That ending omfg. Honestly I want to give this series 5 stars because I’m loving it. I love watching Pim grow
You're the best thief. You've done what no one else ever could. You've stolen my heart.
I'm so stunned after finishing this book. I'm mixed feelings. It just showed how great a writer you are. How can you intertwined your two previous series with this one? btw they are my favorites
Why didn't I get a clue about the QMB??? Damn it!!!!!
Now I don't know if I hate Q. hahaha I love that french speaking guy.
can't wait for millions

I loved it. I need to process the ending, bc I was flying back home from vacation and finished it surrounded by so many people and wanted to scream at the ending... Now I need to find out who Q is..
So many aspects I loved during it, but I gotta be honest, seeing the Hawk's made me so happy, some of my favorite parts of the book bc let's be honest guys, it's Jethro and Nila.
Read it for yourself. I was filled with ups and downs, wtf's, pull yourself together's, swoon's and much more.
A work song by Hozier was on my mind while reading it.

Pim is embracing the world around her, her mind is slowly untangled from the web it was captured in and with it comes her voice. Pim knows she loves Elder, but her love is dangerous for him and she knows she keeps him from focusing. She makes a choice, to protect them both, to find herself and release him of his redemption duties. Only, their choices don't guarantee their safety whether they are together or apart and some sin must be embraced to survive the storm.
"She was the one making me hurt. But she could also be the one to make me better."
Thousands is the most character driven novel in the Dollar series, each character boasts a list of complexities that makes the dual POV all the more interesting. Their chemistry is a blazing fire, but the inferno only fuels the push and pull between them. Their connection, the world they live in, is built upon lies and apologies, trust and healing, and love in the midst of terror. I love that Pepper Winters gave so much thought to consequences and that the characters repeatedly thought through their actions and dealt with the consequences so magnificently. For every turn in the novel, something came of it, and it pushed it all forward, giving readers what we had hoped for from the very beginning. Pim really comes into her own and Elder's masque breaks down, revealing his realities and making both Pim and the reader fall even harder. Only, the stakes are higher in Thousands, and with each reassurance that everything will be okay Pepper Winters weaves a story that can only end in dangerous temptation and war.
"My promise was my life. And I'd just given it to Elder, wrapped in a bow, gifted in a box, willingly donated with my heart."
"You say it's a pleasure, yet you look at me like it's a curse."
Now that ending, that was the most perfect twist. I can hate it, I can wish for a different ending, but Pepper Winters has upped the game, the drama previously was just a rolling crescendo and this is its peak. It makes me want Millions that much more, it makes me desperate to know Pim and Elder's fates, to know that their fight for one another has not all been for naught. I knew something was coming, from the very beginning, but I could have never predicted this.
"I loved how inhuman he was, how barbaric and consumed."
The Dollar series by Pepper Winters is one of those dark, contemporary romances that you have to read to understand. From the depths of hell to the sparkling world of redemption, every facet of emotion is studied, every nuance of the character's personalities and body languages is broken down, and every link that drives and divides relationship is a subject of discussion. The world Pepper Winters has created is magical and complex, so easily pictured with her descriptive writing, and the character driven story line feels so real that I can't believe it isn't taking place right now.

dudeeeee. what the actual hell. this book is too much! i loved it, though it was very, very sad. entertaining though!
Elder Prest thinks he is doing the right thing by letting Pimlico decide what she wants but soon he realizes that he wants her with him even though he is so conflicted in how he feels about her.
Pimlico, aka Tasmin Blythe, believes she can survive on her own but soon finds herself in way over her head and in danger. She realizes how much she cares about Elder and how much he has truly done for her and is afraid that she has lost him for good.
As Elder and Pim are brought back together they realize how much they want each other but a wall remains between them. A wall brought on by the guilt that Elder has towards the loss of his family and for hurting Pim in the past.
Can Elder and Pim bring down the wall between them or will they realize their love for each other when it's too late?
This book and series continues to make me swear and leave me in an OMG ending which makes me beg for the next story to come out!!
I absolutely loved the character development in this story in regards to the relationship between Pim and Elder and how they were dealing with their own stories and pasts. This was a heavy book but at the same time still had some of the grittiness of previous books.
Pim went through so much emotionally in this book when she realized everything that had happened with her mom. She also knew that her relationship with Elder had progressed but that he was still afraid to take it farther as he did not want to hurt her. She had to show him how much strength she had and that she could take what he was able to give her. I love her growth through this series and I am so excited to see where it goes.
I loved the growth of Elder in this book as well as he really came to realize how much he cared about Pim but he was scared of not being able to hold back and therefore kept his distance. He was truly at war within himself due to the guilt he lived with on a regular basis. I loved the story of the "ticket" and how he vowed to repay the man which just showed the integrity of Elder. Yes what he did was wrong to begin with but it was something he had a hard time with.
The ending just absolutely killed me and I dropped a lot of curse words! I am so curious on how everything ends and I hate having to wait for the next one!
This is such an incredible series and I love it!!

I love these characters, so this fourth installment in the Dollar series was kind of a letdown for me.
Thousands started out strong, but halfway through the book Elder and Pim's inner monologues became too much. They got too repetitive and it was exasperating. However, I was still willing to give this a 4-star rating because it's Elder and Pim and have I mentioned I love their characters? But at some point my exasperation turned into outright boredom and I just couldn't lie to myself anymore.
Not much happened beyond Elder and Pim's monotonous arguments. I know the push and pull was relevant to a meaningful relationship development between them, but honestly it all just felt like a repeat of what I'd read in the previous book that the emotional push and pull eventually became exhausting to read.
I never knew reading a book could be so draining and exasperating that you'd feel like breathing a huge sigh of relief upon finishing it.
actual rating: 2.5 stars (a half star solely for the explosive ending)
