This is the book equivalent of "this meeting could have been an email."
If you're able to get past Gary Chapman shoving heteronormativity, traditional gender roles, and our lord and savior Jesus Christ down your throat, there are some useful tidbits of information here in this slog of a book. Could've been a pamphlet instead of a 208-page book but then we wouldn't have gotten Dr. Chapman's advice to push your lover in a wagon through the park while you feed the ducks. Love tank = empty.

I’m not a religious dude. My wife and I found this book incredibly helpful. Sometimes, it helps to have a neutral 3rd party point out obvious things because, the obvious things weren’t so obvious. I wouldn’t say this book is hyper religious. It’s not preachy. The focus isn’t on god.
This book was geared towards married couples (I wish i would've picked up the 5 Love Languages for Singles book) but it provided such great insights into relationships. I am so happy I read this as I have new perspectives on relationships in my life and also what I need to feel loved.

Christian Worldview. The book looks at the different ways individuals both give and receive love. The goal is to help put into practice and communicate with those you love.
Took my time reading through it and found it to be very open, honest and filled with information. Reflected on myself and I was pleased to actually find out there are indeed different love languages.
Could have done without the religious overtones, cis-het assumptions and utter misconceptions on female sexuality. Great insights on how to recognize one’s own and our loved ones’ love languages.
"The key is to learn the primary love language of your spouse and choose to speak it.”
