I finished The Mysterious Affair at Styles (Hercule Poirot 1), by Agatha Christie. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Arthur Lane. A great deal of this book is Poirot explaining what happened. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more "showing" and not so much "telling".

A solid Poirot mystery. Christie’s novels are so well-written and engaging over a hundred years later. It is fun to guess along with Hastings and wait for the big reveal at the end. However, the n word is used along with some casual sexism and antisemitism.

A delightful crime story from Agatha Christie. I love the way she wrote the characters and the plot twists! Everyone who love mystery novel should read this at least once.
