I read this because I liked the movie. Overall I think there were some changes in the movie that made the story better - the character motivations made a little bit more sense and the story was a little neater. But this was still an enjoyable and quick read. I really liked the more complicated relationship between the sisters, especially the older sister Margot and the main character. They were just mean enough to each other that it felt realistic and like a real family relationship. I also liked the banter between the main character and main love interest, Peter.
There were a lot of random descriptions of baking, which is the main character's hobby. It's good that she had a character trait, but it felt like every night she was baking elaborate cakes, pies, cookies and/or cupcakes, which was a bit weird.

I did not expect to like this as much as I did! The whole time I was reading it it was average but then it got better and better and I could not put it down! I would definitely recommend this to someone who loves romantic dramas.
