Wow, this was really fun! It also had lots of heart especially, in Lara Jean's relationship with her family. It was little trope-y in some places but honestly, I didn't really mind. This is a great summer read!

It was my fault for reading this after what I've determined was the best romance I've ever read so I brought it on myself. I watched the To All the Boys netflix movie when it came out and I, like 50% of girl kind, was obsessed. Going into this book however, I failed to remember that I was 13 when I watched it and now I'm 18. That should terrify everyone reading this review because it felt like 2 years ago but I digress. That being said, the relationship did not have the chemistry in this book like Lara Jean and Peter did in the movie. And Peter felt like a much bigger, more manipulative jerk in this than in the movie. It felt undeveloped and lacking chemistry which sucks because of my obsession with Jenny Han's "The Summer I Turned Pretty" series so I just don't know what happened with this book. Usually the fake dating trope has me losing my mind but this just didn't do it for me.

I was worried that this series would end up like TSITP series. Once again I had a high expectation since the movies were good. I can honestly say I really enjoyed the book better than the first movie. It took me a hot minute to get used to the way it was written but I would read this again! I liked the dynamic between Kitty and Lara Jean and how they played Margot out more than they did in the movies
