This book took a lot of getting used to for me! I was confused for a fair amount of the beginning of the book, (I also don't typically read sci-fi, so that may have played a role in my confusion) but after I caught on it was much easier to read and I enjoyed it a lot more!

I hate time traveling and the time traveling genre in general. I also don’t like books where the whole point is for the reader to never understand the cryptic world the book takes place in. This book has all those.
But somehow the characters were so good and the writing was so beautiful that it somehow managed to mostly make up for my dislike of the genre? Did not know that was possible.

The way this book is written is beautiful and unique, but I desperately wanted to know more about the world. The love letters were gorgeous, and yet I wanted so badly to read a longer book set in this universe that really fleshed out the mechanics of the time travel etc.
