Not as strong or compelling as the first. Definitely a lot to like here, but also a lot of unnecessary verbiage. Authority wasn't even that lengthy, but it was still too long. Excited for Acceptance, though.

This series is all-consuming, emotional, environmental science fiction and I am here for it. I have the third book sitting next to me now and can’t wait to jump in.

Enjoyed the characters, the atmosphere, the narrative. It just felt a little slow; it built and built for too long without enough of a payoff. Still an enjoyable read though.
