Can this series get any better?
I thought by book 4 the series would start running out of steam, but instead we got a big addition to the cast with even MORE insteresting people than in the previous books.
Evra, I'm sorry to kick you off the spot of my favorite, but seeing as you're safe and sound back at the Cirque and we probably won't be seeing you for a while...
I'm awarding my new favorite to Vanez Blane, the games master of Vampire Mountain. The three (so far) Princes come in at a close second, with Mika Ver Leth slightly ahead of the other two (I can't help it! I love the dark snarky types :p).
And Seba Nile, you are AWESOME!!! I want to know more about your mentorship of Mr Crepsley!
It's getting repetitive saying this after every single book, but I can't wait to read the next one.
Damn you (I worship you) author for giving me this great series to become addicted to!

Out of the 4 books I have read in this series I really enjoyed this one the most. I loved the character development of Darren and Evra and Mr. Crepsley. I liked how we saw more of Mr. Crepsley’s world and that we get a better understanding of his life and who he was before joining the Cirque Du Freak.

Interesting to learn more lore about the vampire world but the ending was SO abrupt.

The adventure of Darren Shan just keeps getting more perilous and better. I love how he is starting to get stronger and show some pride. He's also not whiny anymore. He takes responsibility for his own messes and always finds a way through them. His relationship with Larten Crepsley has gotten much better in this one. He respects him and in the end he puts himself in danger for Larten. Great story. Great writing. Very interesting and it keeps you interested through the whole thing. RECOMMEND!!!
