Wow. These are some complicated people. The internal dialogue and clueless-ness of the heroine reminded me a bit of some of Charlotte Stein's work.
It did not get five stars because I wanted more. There should be a sequel, maybe a power play with the devil Mother or something. Otherwise, it was NOT a cheesy, predictable and plotless read one would expect of a free book. Her writing was fun and the underwear scene was hilarious. Maybe because I am bigger I totally understood it, but I laughed hard. There were moments toward the end where I was unsure what they were arguing about and what actually upset them, but it was so minimal to the rest of the story. I also loved that the girl was bigger and she was still sexy and written that way. Great read in my opinion for a romance.
Funny and sexy and just a little bit too good to be true. Because we don't see the 5 years of buildup in their relations ship, Meghan and Adrian's hookup felt a little bit too fast for me to totally believe in it. (also, she calls him Ryn?? WTF is that?) It was a fast, fun read perfect for a summer weekend, but I don't feel a need to read more right away - though the next full-length novel focuses on Meg and Adrian after they settle down have have to figure out how to be a couple together, which I always wonder about in romance novels. Maybe I'll see if the library has it.
I did like how he was always chastising her for putting herself down, or refusing to believe that a sexy man could be interested in women with curves and some extra fluff. I'm glad she got the confidence to believe that she was worthy and attractive on her own, and not just because he thought she was beautiful and arousing.
There were some details in the animal shelter plot that were never followed up on - it sounded like she had a pet who had died somewhat tragically or unexpectedly? But we never learn any more about that, so it seemed like maybe something had been cut and the leftover bits not worked back into the story properly.

I really liked this book. Neither of the main characters are perfect. I laughed out loud a couple of times with this book. There was a few editing problems. Definitely recommend.

I just finished this book and I loved it. I’ve been searching for a romance between a millionaire and a fat heroine.
Yes, you got it right, I said fat, honestly reading about long legs and flat tummies and perfect boobs it’s okay but sometimes I just get sick of those heroines, I want something I can relate, whose struggles are similar to mine, who knows what it feels like to try to be sexy even when your panties roll of your tummy and you have cellulite and dimples on your thighs and people give you those weird looks if you decide to show some skin like it’s offensive.
I wanted to find a book that has that kind of heroine and still she get the billionaire, because he loves her not in spite of her physical appearance but because of it and you know what this book totally delivered that.
I can honestly say many of her struggles have been mine as well in real life, so many things I’ve felt are portrayed in this book I feel such a win she got Adrian at end, even if it was not easy and they both had to face their own demons to make it work.
And because I loved book 1 so much I’m about to start book 2. Book 1 in this series is definitely making it to my top 5 read this year!
Can’t wait to read more about this author!!!

This was a refreshing book with a very funny and sarcastic heroine and a oddly imperfect billionaire hero. I laughed at their combative relationship but when they slowly start to reveal their feelings toward each other, the conflict is realistic and bittersweet. A lovely story that I highly recommend!!!
