Quick, easy and fun read. Loveable characters and relatable themes of friendship, trust and bravery. As magical and fantastical as expected. J.K Rowling's imagery brings life to the story and helps the reader imagine the magical world with ease and enjoyment. Thoroughly enjoyable read for a children's book, as was expected.

The author has made multiple problematic tweets and her beliefs in those tweets are reflected in her storytelling. Harry is heavily abused, bullied, and threatened.
The series contains within it many harmful stereotypes and tropes. For example, why did the antagonist choose to cover up the presence of the series antagonist with a turban? There are many non-cultural headwear pieces that would cover up that specific area on his head. Many of the characters are written into stereotypes. The "bad" characters are bad and you know because they are ugly or fat or both. The students are reduced to the traits of their houses. Hufflepuffs are rarely mentioned but are most often being called useless. Ravenclaw are just smart. Slytherins are mean awful bullies that live in the dungeons. The bankers in the magical wizarding world are walking Nazi propaganda. "Goblins are short and fair-skinned, as they spend very little time outside. They have very long fingers and feet, dome shaped heads and are slightly larger than house-elves. Griphook, one of the hundreds of goblins working at Gringotts, has a bald head, pointed nose, and pointed ears."
