I reread this book recently, about 12 years after reading it in high school. It is still as devastatingly sad yet beautiful. It will probably break your heart more than The Kite Runner did.

I wasn't expecting to love this book so much. Its probably the best book I have ever read. I cried, I was horrified, I learned, felt so many emotions. I will recommend this to everyone

Just an undeniably incredible read. Heartbreaking and awful to read, but so beautifully written and moving.

So So good. would recommend to anyone who isn’t too triggered by violence or suicide. This book is so important. People like these characters are still struggling today, now that the taliban have come back into power. This story may not be real but there are real people struggling in this way all over. please please read this book.
