The smut is good but there is zero character development. Their character traits/jobs/actions don’t match how they act in relationships. Actions don’t make sense. Lots of psychological drama and trauma that is unaddressed.

Yep. I was right. I knew this book would take a the cake. Easily my favorite out of all the rina kent books i’ve read.niko and brandon were bound to my favorites after their first mention.

Its rare I find a book that I can read with ease from the moment I pick it up. As someone with an extremely low concentration span, I constantly find myself page watching when reading - was never the case with this book, the only times I looked at the page numbers was when I put it down and saw I was 50-100 pages since the last time I checked. Completely hooked through and through!! 

The character development was absolutely insane and I could see myself in many of the characters antics and beliefs which made the read so much more immersive! 

I went through 7 highlighters annotating this book and I even forgot one colour! I got so in the feels with this story, the characters and their struggles, ♾️/10, now to bankrupt myself with merch!! 🤣 

(Also loved this book enough I bedazzled my front cover with gemstones 🥰)

Listen. This book is fine but I think it could have been 100-200 pages shorter. The writing in Nikolai’s chapters was almost unbearable at the beginning as the author was really trying to hammer home that he’s a “bad boy” who  cusses a lot and talks about his dick. I think Nikolai being the heir to the Bratva brought that point home and the general immaturity of this character and language was unnecessary. This probably makes me sound like a prude but I can only read “fuck you right the fuck off” so many times on one page.
