I absolutely fell in love with both of these MCs. They were so different and I loved how it was shown with their inner monologues. The mutual possessiveness and jealousy had me giddy with delight. This was one of those books that just couldn’t help but love, it hits in all the right feels and burrows its way in where I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely a great first read of the year.

Terrible awful no good very bad plot. The writing was so repetitive, could have gotten rid of 100 pages and not lost any meaning. The dialogue was worse than The Phantom Menace. This book was so hyped up and was such a horrible excuse for MM romance/representation. The violence wasn’t even that dark, just strange and sometimes random. Could have done with the use of third person instead of first. I wish I could have my time back.

OMG! This is one the one for me. I love how Niko & Bran are together. I can see this definitely as a grumpy x sunshine that is dark, but I love them two. I love how persistent and unrelenting Niko was to be with Brandon. I love how he knew that he would have to be evil person and their relationship in order for him to get through his walls.

Brandon person calm down Nikolai demons. I know, I wouldn’t say tame but almost mute his very destructive and violent tendencies. I love both of them together. I really really enjoyed reading this. The spice was off the charts and it was good. Seeing the other characters go through their stories. Also seeing the story play out.

This is now ranked number two of my top five legacy of God series. God of malice still, number one. I cannot wait to get the special editions of the ones I love and enjoy! I will be recommending this as a read to everyone.

(Okay my review keeps refreshing so I can't remembe  eveerything i was gonna say sjdbdbs)

Wow God bless I love Bran and Niko!!! this is my favorite Rina book it almost didn't feel the same as the rest of the legacy series. Niko is a fantastic boyfriend kinda just unfiltered but full of genuine care. Bran has a fantastic character arc and when he lets himself be, hes such a great boyfriend back. The way they both help fight each other's demons is so so good. Bran's ace rep makes me happy and the heavier topics are intense but handled pretty carefully. I loved Bran and Lan's relationship and seeing it from Bran's pov.

Had some cheesy lines but if you like dark rom-coms, this  is a good one. Chef's kiss to the narrators.

First and foremost: MIND THE CONTENT WARNINGS
this book deals with a number of dark and potentially triggering topics, so make sure you are in the correct headspace before diving into this book (and the series in general);

I’ve often struggled with queer romance for one reason or another - it can be a minefield - but this story handled it well. Writing an Ace/Demi character is not easy, so having a main character experience what many who identify with Ace-spec have is refreshing and oddly validating.

i don't even know where to start with this one. the beginning (excluding that weird ass flashback with niko - you know exactly which one) was actually pretty promising and seemed to diverge slightly from her usual schtick where she just copies and pastes existing characters and scenes, but after it got like halfway in she just reverted to her usual tactics. i think the quality of writing has actually gotten worse with this book, but at best it's stayed the exact same imo. i hated the dialogue and ended up skimming almost all of it. i had somewhat high hopes since it was an MM romance and i thought she would switch up the relationship dynamics but ultimately it didn't matter if she did or did not since it was formulaic to a T and contained the same scenes as the previous LOG books just with niko and bran.

i though niko for sure would be different to the other mmcs since he has a wildly different personality but it turned out that once he got his own book it didn't matter. he wasn't completely ooc but in the self plagiarised scenes it just felt like his own character and temperament was second to the character of her older mmcs. it was interesting to see why bran was so tortured but the pacing of that plotline was so strange. i wish she went a little further into why niko never slept in a bed too but i can't tell if that was a plothole or just purposely ignored. the whole dynamic between them, at least from brandon's side, felt confusing; i still have no idea why bran loves niko so much - at least we knew niko was obsessed at first sight (literally) which is understandable since he's pretty chaotic, but i needed more than that from brandon. it doesn't really fit with his character in the previous books.

overall this had potential, and i liked the first half, but the repetition and the lack of originality (amongst other things) made it fall flat for me.
