This was an incredible debut and honestly just an all around delight. I'm so glad I finally got around to pulling this one off of my shelf and I can't wait to read Sonia Hartl's new book that conveniently comes out in less than a month!!

TW: coercion, misogyny, religious intolerance, struggles with/loss of faith

This was great. Super enjoyable - sex positive, but also didn't belittle true faith or religion only hypocrites.

This book is not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. I loved the characters, the storytelling, and the honest conversations about consent, Christian culture, true faith, and friendship.

It’s YA so it definitely had its cliche moments, but I appreciated the discussion about consent, women teaching women and many other take homes that are important for the YA audience. It was a fast read with some humor and good life lessons for teenagers.

This book had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, about half way through, it just seemed to go off track. All in all, I found it a somewhat fun but mostly disappointing read.

I read this book months ago and I'm still having a hard time articulating how much I loved it.
HAVE A LITTLE FAITH IN ME by Sonia Hartl is a hilarious, heartbreaking, and heartwarming (yes, both) story about faith—or lack thereof—and friendship. CeCe is reckless, but so damn relatable and real. She's funny and you root for her even when you know you should be telling her to stop what she's doing. Paul, her best friend, is so damn swoony and funny. The girls of Cabin 8 each deserve their own stories with how well they're fleshed out. HALFIM is so important and so sensitive to all the topics it covers and I'm so excited for others to start reading it. Hartl is one to keep on your Reading Radars.

Hilarious.....I mean I literally LOL quite a few times in this book......Besides all of the funny moments between the main characters and their teenage dialogue lay some pretty heavy ideas/themes also(Women Body Image, sexual consent, religious themes, hypocrisy, scripture references, adultry, sex-ed virginity, abstinence even some LGBT stuff thrown in the mix a little)...... It definitely talked about some real life stuff that teens actually probably go through on the regular..... Would love to read a part two, three or four about the other "Cabin 8 girls", Their storyline definitely deserve to be told too....it really touched me with the way the author wove their story together and was their fir the main character....but then again, the story might be good as IS!!! Enjoyed this more than I thought I would, glad I picked it up from the YA shelf at my local library!!! It was surprisingly a good read!

I loved this one! 4,5 stars <3

This is the second book ive ever read that really pulled me to write a review, so that'll be coming soon.
funny lighthearted reflective fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Was not expecting to turn into the sex ed route but ok. Light and fun read, had a few serious moments considering it deals with religion, sex, body image, and relationships all while navigating the ways of adolescence. Other than that though, it was nothing special.
