Light read that gives you a decent story, but not one I would revisit or that made me want to read more by the author. I did appreciate that the MMC seemed to be neurodivergent coded, but the plot wasn't robust.
It was also confusing because the main book and the sneak peek included at the end had characters with very similar titles, so I was confused if the books were connected (they aren't) and if it was the same character (it wasn't).

THIS WAS SO GOOD! I’m not sure why I put it off for so long. I had a fantastic time. Edward and Georgiana were so wonderful. I’m now very excited for the second book!
Hooray! A sweet, interesting story with such wonderful, complex, sympathetic, and likable main characters. Both the FMC AND the MMC were winners, which is a welcome change of late given the men have been out swooning the dud females in the books I’ve been reading. I will definitely read more books by this author!
This sounded like something I would love and I have heard nothing but good things, so I went in with high expectations. But this ended up being just ok for me, I really liked the interactions between the main characters but I didn't feel invested, and since not a lot happened plot-wise, I was a bit bored reading this.

It all starts in a library, a misunderstanding and concludes with a kiss and an unwanted marriage. Georgiana is a bold and honest heroine and must marry a cold and domineering Duke, Edward. I enjoyed their banter as they grew to know each other. I especially enjoyed reading their passion blossom and lead to love. Edward was a different hero than most and his back story was very intriguing!
I really liked this one. A different hero from what we're used to and the third act conflict actually made sense (also, frankly, unusual.)
It was an okay read. There was not enough interaction with the MCs to make we feel their connection so while I finished the book, I was not drawn into the story as much as I would have liked. Edward is the Duke of Thornfield who actively avoids falling for marriage traps. He also has stimulus issues (perhaps OCD, autism, sensory processing). Georgiana is the daughter of a much lower ranking family. She loves books and intends to be a spinster. When Edward catches her in his special chair in his library, he is dressed down and she does not recognize him. He threatens to kiss her if she does not leave. The kiss is witnessed and results in a betrothal and marriage to avoid tuning Georgiana. The rest of the story is the journey of the two strangers trying to find a balance in their marriage and relationship. Despite my lackluster feelings, the book was well written.
I actually like the way this book is written. The writing style is pleasant, but the way the characters behave just does not click at some places. It's not quite the "haters to lovers" trope, but it's also not the "head-over-heels-since-day-one" kind. Are they honest with each other or are they playing pretend, the book doesn't give proper opportunities for the main characters' feelings to develop more naturally. But it was okay for something to read in-between 'serious' novels.
