It's a murder mystery with romance, intrigue, and witty repartee and delightful characters and magic. I laughed often. Sign me up for more.

I tried something outside my wheelhouse and I'm leaving this genre forever.
Most of the words in this book are spent on "will-they-won't-they" and the protagonists misunderstanding each other whilst being extremely horny and touch deprived. I can see the appeal, but romance-fiction is one step away from smut and getting it on is not the reason I read books.
The plot is fine and there are some bits of intrigue in there that kept me reading, but there is no way I'm going to keep on reading this series.

A cosy fantasy romance with the tried and true formula of a T.Kingfisher story. Enjoyable and fun. Stephen and Grace were fun to follow around as they are dealing with various problems of their world.
