Again... I am loving this! This is the perfect mix of funny and action and I love it. I appreciate the fact that we learn more about what happened with her father and mother... and everything is evolving really nicelly

I’m so sad I’ve come to the last Hawkeye graphic novel until the next comes out. Starting with the four volumes by Matt Fraction, these drew me in and they are among my top favorite books. So excited to see Kate and Clint reunited and can’t wait to read the next volume. 😍

have i mentioned how much i love kate bishop? i loved seeing the wolverine(s) cameo and also clint showing up much later (which makes me want to go back and read his series so i can look out for kate). i’m a sucker for non-powered characters and was glad that kate - thought slow as it may be - is coming to terms w and exploring that part of herself !!!

I enjoyed this volume a lot more than the first volume.

Granted, I still don't feel like I have a good handle on the supporting cast but Kate really shined in this volume. The dialogue was great! The jokes really landed and I like seeing more about Kate's family history.

One thing I greatly appreciated about this volume was that it didn't shy away from how hard the job is on Kate's body. Sometimes, even the regular humans are written as though being thrown into several walls, glass windows and other people doesn't take a toll on their bodies. This series actually shows Kate getting bruised and injured and dealing with a lot of soreness afterwards. I worry about all the times she's hit her head, to be honest, but it was an aspect that made this series all the more realistic.

I said this about Atomic Blonde, as well, but I really like it when female characters are written this way because it doesn't do the typical thing guy writers do where a woman gets injured but in a "sexy way". You know, when she gets in a knife fight but the only damage done are slash marks across her midriff and slices meant to reveal more thigh and stomach (*cough cough* Padme in Attack of the Clones *cough cough*). This is a sign of this series being written by a woman and the artist being respectful. I am thankful.

Anyway, this is a lot closer to the personality I'm used to and what made me love the character in the first place.

I keep hoping her supporting cast will stand out to me a little more but maybe in volume 3.

I seriously love this series. Now that Kate is more settled in her new surroundings, the big plot is unfolding- this trade sets up a new quest, and it involves delving into Kate's family. It's incredibly satisfying to finally bridge the gap in her background, so now as a reader her motivation is very clear. It makes you root for her even more.

Anyway, Kate is great in this trade. Determined and angry, but still quippy. The writing is just so good, continuing the Hawkeye style from Fraction but still finding new ways to surprise you, and always staying true to Kate. The team-up with Laura and Gabby was almost everything I could have asked for. It's books like these that make the marvel universe still feel real.

I love Kate Bishop, the expressive art, and the growing exploration of Kate’s super messed up family, but the story felt oddly rushed in places, and sometimes the action sequences didn’t seem to flow right.

Kate Bishop is back in the hot seat and it just reminds me of Clint's Hawkeye series in both tone of story and art style that I couldn't help but laugh and just think "aww, no" at different moments.

Picking up right after Vol.1, this one sees Kate and the gang taking on a new case that has close ties to her family and brings up a hard some hard questions for Kate which I want to know where it all leads to.
