5 stars!! That…was beautiful, the ending omg I wanted to cry- I loved the ending, I loved the tension, I loved the adventure!! I loved this story just as much as Emilia and Wrath’s, if not, more! I need a book about Pride and Lucia IMMEDIATELY!!

This is not a romantasy. If you enjoy books with lustful attraction and zero chemistry, this is a book for you. I prefer the slow burn type where characters get to know each other during the first half of the book and have true attraction and chemistry. This book jumped immediately to physical attraction and left very little room for the characters to get to know each other. The extent of this was shown when the Camilla met Blade and I actually thought they had more chemistry than Camilla and Envy. The author also leaned heavily on the miscommunication trope, which I find extremely frustrating and juvenile. These are grown ass adults.
The subplot of the book with Fae games, puzzles and plot twists was actually extremely interesting and I would have loved to dive deeper into that, but unfortunately, the romance took up most of the book.
Again, if you're into the lustful attraction type of romance novel, this is for you. There's plenty of spice in this book, too. It's just not my cup of tea. I won't be continuing the series. 2.75 because the subplot was really good, and I adore Blade.

"As I started this book, I had a feeling it would become one of my favorites. I know people say the romantasy genre is redundant with its tropes, but I enjoy formulaic plots from time to time. That being said, I was fairly disappointed with this one.

I’ll start with what I liked. I loved the concept of the '7 Brothers of Sin,' with each representing a different sin. I also really liked our female protagonist, Camilla. It was refreshing to have a main character who embraces her softness and femininity while also being confident about her sexual desires. Her having a pet cat was also a cute touch!

Now, onto what I didn’t like. I wasn’t a fan of Envy. He left a bad taste in my mouth one too many times. For example, he would purposefully hurt Camilla, and she would be mad at him for maybe two paragraphs before their dynamic reverted to flirtatious bantering. It’s not like Envy didn’t realize he was being hurtful—he acknowledged it but brushed it off with, 'I’ll do anything for the game!' I really wish Camilla had held him more accountable.

I also wasn’t a fan of the plot, especially when it came to Vittora. This was the point in the book where I solidified my opinion about Envy’s character. Additionally, 'The Game,' which is supposed to be the central driving point of their partnership, felt like a side quest at times. Why did it take 40% of the book for them to get a single clue?

Overall, the book started off strong but slowly became lackluster as it progressed.
