Cute read. Loved the Shakespeare references.

I enjoyed the Shakespeare references, the quirky Barnes family and Bard obsessed small town.

Sadly that didn’t really make up the difference for the romance. It was slow-burn-ish but felt like an afterthought. Also it was rife with tension, plus the story felt tense otherwise in most other areas.

Just not a me type of romance.

I LOVED all of the Shakespeare inspo and quotes.
Some people were saying that Miranda had too much on her plate and that that is impossible but I think life's that way so..
By the 70% mark i think it started to feel like Jessica was dragging too much the story and then the fall out happened with like 10% of the book left and then in ONE CHAPTER (actually, the EPILOGUE) it all magically work out, soooo i think instead of dragging in out maybe she should've ended the book earlier so the ending didnt feel like a forced happily ever after.

Solid 3 1/2 stars. The beginning was a little rocky, but it picked up about 50 pages in. It’s a cute, easy, fast read, with a Gilmore Girls feel to it. One to add to your beach bag, for sure.

Wow…this debut from Jessica Martin was so freaking cute. I loved the Shakespearean town, the healthy family dynamics, the friend group, and you know I’m a sucker for second-chance romance.

That being said, I was shocked about how long I had to wait for the HEA and the reasons for the conflict seemed a little thin. But that was it. I loved the Boston connection and the writer-lover drama. Definitely looking forward to reading #2 in the series (I RAN to the library to get it!)
