reading the story of joan didion’s husband dying when her daughter ended up in the icu was crazy. but finding out that her daughter didn’t even make it two years after the pneumonia that put her in the icu felt unimaginable. i can’t believe what she has gone through. this book felt a little more scattered than a year of magical thinking, and the story was not as put together. have mixed feelings towards the book, but the story is heartbreaking.
