This is a great poetry collection but not definitely not for beginner to poetry. There is a lot of surrealism and descriptive imagery in Nerudas poetry, which can be a hit or miss for people. Fortunately I really enjoyed his poetic style. I definitely got emotional reading this collection, especially part 3 as there is poems on the horrifying reality of war and it was definitely difficult to read. I would recommend this collection for sure, but just be aware that the content of some poems are difficult to process.

nasıl yaslı bir davul sesi var kış sözcüğünde"

Dang, Neruda cuts deep. I loved most of this book, but the last part about all the war stuff was not for me.

Such a wonderful poet, with excellent use of imagery. Definitely read this in Spanish if you can; it's so much better in the original language.
